Hardly a week goes by without a story about New York Yankees’ rookie Aaron Judge. Well, today is no different. The 25 Year-old bested Babe Ruth for most home runs at Yankee Stadium Saturday, with a total of 33 home runs. The home run also moves Judge into an eighth-place tie with Mickey Mantle on the Yankees’ list of single-season homers.

Veteran left-hander CC Sabathia who was possibly playing one of his last games as a Yankee also did not disappoint Saturday.  The veteran only allowed three hits and struck out 6 players in 5 2/3 innings. The 37-year-old will now enter free agency with his highest win total since 2013.  Though Sabathia is entering free agency, he says the Yankees are his first choice team.

Despite Boston claiming the AL East Division title, the Yankees were able to clinch an AL Wild Card spot with their 2-1 over the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Yankees will now host Minnesota in the wild-card game Tuesday, and the winner of that game will go on will face Cleveland in the best-of-five AL Division Series.
