Dolphins to Waive Rey Maualuga After Arrest

The Miami Dolphins are planning  to waive linebacker Rey Maualuga after he was arrested in Miami on battery charges according to sources. Details surrounding the incident are unclear at this time, however, it was reported that Maualuga was picked by authorities sometime Saturday morning and booked into the jail at 12:46 P.M.

His bond has been set at $1,500.

For the Dolphins, Maualuga recorded 23 tackles this season in six games and four starts. So far there has been no official word from the Dolphins camp on the situation. They will take on Tampa Bay on Sunday.
