The Eagle has landed…in jail, that is. Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darryl Worley was arrested in his team’s city on Sunday morning.
A taser was reportedly used on the NFL star when he became combative during the arrest, which took place near the team’s facility. There is no word yet on what led up to the arrest, although multiple sources say police found Worley passed out in his car with a gun nearby.
Worley just joined the Eagles about a month ago, after being traded from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith. The Eagles are currently gathering more information and will most likely cut Worley from the roster sometime on Sunday.
