The Miami Heat got a huge win last night in Toronto and continued their surge up the standings in the East. Wayne Ellington gave the Heat another buzzer beating win, this time against the number 2 seeded Toronto Raptors, 90-89.

This time a couple of weeks ago, Miami was struggling just to keep pace with the top 8. Now, as they continue their 5 game win streak, they find themselves in 4th place and only 3 games behind the Cavs for the 3rd.

The Heat have also tied the Wizards for first place in the Southeast division with their 23-17 record. This is all thanks in part to increased production from players Bam Adebayo, who had his best rebounding performance of his young rookie season with 15 boards. Coach Spo has been able to find a nice mix of players such as when he plays Bam and Whiteside together, those two have been causing havoc inside together. And that was made evident last night with a season high 71 rebounds for the Heat.

Most importantly, Miami is finding something that they have been lacking all season. Consistency. And that could continue to lead them into serious contention in the East.
