Lantana Police: Woman Tied Up in Armed Home Invasion

Lantana police confirmed Wednesday morning they are investigating an armed home invasion and robbery overnight of a woman and child.

The frightening incident happened in the 1300 block of Gateway Dr. near Interstate 95 around 1 a.m.

Crime scene tape is still up at the scene where police say a woman woke up, opened her bedroom door and was confronted by armed two men.

Investigators said the men tied her up on the floor and ransacked the house.

The woman was not injured and was able to free herself and call police.

A little boy was also inside the home at the time of the armed robbery and was escorted by an adult leaving the house.

Lantana police say the two home invaders are still on the run.
