We are officially in the thick of the 2018 winter Olympic games and numerous medals have already been awarded.

Germany is leading the way with 4 gold medals thus far and 7 medals overall. The Netherlands is right there along with them tallying 7 total medals as well. But it’s Norway that has the most overall medals with 9. In fact, here’s a little trivia for you. Norway actually has the most medals out of any country in Winter Olympic history.

But as for the United States, we are just getting started. The U.S. currently sits in 5th place overall, right behind Canada with 4 medals. Two gold, one silver, and one bronze.

It’s still very early in the games and competitions like speed skating and snowboarding where we are traditionally strong have yet to be decided.

And of course, there is always curling to remember.
