It was a winning weekend for the Miami Heat

The Heat are doing something that they haven’t done all season, and that is put together an honest to gosh win streak.

Miami has now won four straight games to bring their overall record to 22-17 which is currently good enough for 5th place in the East. They have shot up the standings since this time last week and are now only half a game back of the Wizards for 4th place overall.

Miami’s current run has not been without its share of nail biters. They include an overtime win against the Knicks this past Friday and a last second bucket last night to beat the Jazz 103-102. Josh Richardson was able to put in a lay up with 5 seconds remaining to give Miami the 1 point victory.

After a long home stand, the Heat will be tested on the road starting tomorrow at Toronto and then Wednesday at Indiana. Games like these coming up though are important for Miami to show what they are truly capable of and to try and carry all this momentum they have built up at home to on the road. Especially now that they were able to take advantage of that long home stand and move up in the standings.

Things won’t get any easier for the Heat as we approach the half way point of the season.
