Danica Patrick Announces She Won’t Run Full Time In 2018

In an emotional press conference, Danica Patrick confirmed the widespread rumors that she would be stepping away from full-time competition in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series after Sunday’s Ford Ecoboost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. She may not be racing full time in NASCAR after this season but Patrick did say she isn’t exactly done racing and is planning to start both the 2018 Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500. Patrick lost her cup ride when the team was unable to secure sponsorship and subsequently hired Aric Almirola to pilot the #10 Ford. Patrick would go on the say that “she’s done” after the 2018 Indy 500 but also said, “never say never.”
