The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed a big-name free agent to join the team at spring training – Garth Brooks. The country megastar hit the field on Monday, taking grounders at third base.  He’ll practice with the team all week and play right field in preseason games. Garth says the Pirates were his favorite team growing up because he was a Roberto Clemente fan. It’s not Brooks’ first spring training stint – he’s also worked out with the Padres, Mets, and Royals in the past. What do you think of teams inviting celebrities to spring training?  Do you think Garth secretly believes he could play in the big leagues?
