Hal Steinbrenner Won’t Rule Out Signing Harper Or Machado

It seems like the Yankees are out of the running for Bryce Harper or Manny Machado, but owner Hal Steinbrenner isn’t ruling it out just yet. On Thursday, Steinbrenner said “I don’t think it’s ever done” and said he would “seriously consider it” if his front office proposed a major signing.  Earlier this week, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he thought the team’s roster was “pretty much set” for the 2019 season.  The Yankees were one of three teams Machado met with back in December. Why do you think Machado and Harper aren’t signed?  Are you surprised the Yankees haven’t thrown a boatload of money at one of them?
