Hurricanes Earn the National Spotlight

It hasn’t been your traditional undefeated season so far. But it has been good enough for the Hurricanes to get noticed.

Every game over the past month, no matter the opponent, has come down to the fourth quarter. And in some cases, the very last play of the game. But they have been winning, albeit ugly and not dominate, still winning. And now at 7-0, Miami is coming home to play one loss Virginia Tech for what could very well be the right to represent the coastal division in the ACC title game. And the nation has taken notice.

The game has been scheduled for the national primetime slot this Saturday night at 8pm. The country will be waiting to see if this team is for real, or if they have just been able to get by lesser opponents so far. The Canes will not only be playing for their return to national prominence, but also for the right to play in their first ever ACC title game. Since joining the conference back in 2004, Miami has never played in the title game.

They will be looking to change that this Saturday night. A win would also set up the game of the week next Saturday when #5 Notre Dame comes to town.
