J.A. Happ Implodes in Yankees Loss

J.A. Happ has been the most consistent Yankees starter lately, but he blew a four-run lead in the 5th inning. To add insult to injury mentally, Adam Ottavino must have fell asleep at the wheel too when he allowed a go-ahead home run to Leury Garcia in the 6th inning. I think the day off put the entire team in sleep mode as the none of the top four hitters in the Yankees’ lineup got a hit. DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Hicks, Luke Voit and Gary Sanchez went for a combined 0-for-16 to a mediocre team like the Chicago White Sox in a 5-4 loss. Happ finished the game going 5 innings and giving up 4 runs on 5 hits with 4 walks and 2 K’s. In the last 10 games, the Yankees have lost 7 that easily could have been wins.
