It’s football y’all!
Happy Friday and boy am I sure glad it’s almost the weekend. We are one day closer to Sunday! It’s Week 7 of the NFL and it’s time for Just Jordyn’s Football Friday.
This weekend will be unique; as we’re sipping our morning coffee and waking up to a lazy Sunday, the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers will be preparing for a game time of 9:30 a.m. eastern time as they play overseas in London. Both teams will be fatigued with the drastic time difference and change in stadium culture, but the Titans have been struggling the past two weeks and I’m betting Philip Rivers puts a beat down on them.
It’s Baker versus Jameis and I’m predicting the Buccaneers will pull out a win on this one. Carolina will fall to the Eagles, struggling to win consecutive games on the road. The Vikings will snap Sam Darnold and his two-game winning streak. The New England Patriots are coming off a huge victory against Kansas City and I think they will hold the Bears to a low scoring game but ultimately prevail.
The Miami Dolphins have home field advantage as they host the Detroit Lions but with Ryan Tannehill out for the Fins, it’s going to be tough for Brock Osweiler to win back-to-back games. Even so, I say the Dolphins get to 5-2 Sunday. We are in the thick of Brock-tober.
I will always pick my Buffalo Bills to come out on top and it will be interesting to see if Derek Anderson can make anything happen at quarterback. At this point, he’s a much better option than Nathan Peterman who throws a pick every tenth pass he attempts. The Buffalo defense is playing well so hopefully they can continue and pull the curtain over Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
The Jacksonville Jaguar defense will get going in the right direction again and even though Houston has won three straight, I predict they fall to the Jags. The Washington Redskins will prevail; Dallas is 3-0 at home and 0-3 on the road which indicates they won’t be victorious at Washington. The Rams will remain the only undefeated team in the league when they destroy the San Francisco 49ers behind.
My game of the week is the New Orleans Saints at Baltimore. The Saints offense against the Ravens defense is a must-see matchup and look out for Drew Brees as he scrambles to avoid being sacked. Baltimore had 11 sacks last week and I’m pulling for the Ravens to get the W.
I’m calling the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals to be a close game but in the end, Mahomes will lead his boys to victory. Finally, the Atlanta Falcons will win in an absolute blowout over the awful New York Giants Monday night. Eli is still falling apart but may be able to rack up some points against a stressed Falcons defense.
Just living life and loving every moment. Just Jordyn.
