The news broke this afternoon regarding the shocking allegations made against Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy. If you have not seen it, a friend of LeSean McCoy’s supposed girlfriend posted a before and after picture of said girlfriend on Instagram. The before picture showed a very attractive woman and the after picture allegedly showed the same woman lying in a hospital bed, beaten and bloodied.
I am not posting the picture in this article because it is quite frankly stomach turning. But below the picture read this post:
“[LeSean McCoy] is THE DEVIL!!! YOU ARE AN ANIMAL!!!!!! We didn’t say anything about how you beat your dog “Henny” into kidney failure. Let’s not talk about all the times my best friend had to stop you from VICIOUSLY beating your son for small things like peeing in the bed. We kept quiet about your drug usage … all the ILLEGAL steroids and needles you were using, but we will not keep quiet about this!!!!!! I can’t believe you did this to my best friend!!!!! YOUR KARMA IS GOING TO BE SO REAL!!!!!! The world needs to know what type of animal you really are!!!!!!!”
There is a lot to digest here from that one post. Each detail equally disturbing and disgusting. It is important to note that these are allegations, none of this has been proven as of yet. In fact, McCoy has come out with his denial in his own social media post that you can see below.
If there is even a tiny shred of truth here within any of these accusations than McCoy should be prosecuted to the fullest extent by the league and the law.
Also something interesting and even infuriating to ponder is what if this is true and one of his teammates or someone in the league knew about it? IF that is the case then that would be the highest form of hypocrisy considering what the NFL players have been protesting the past couple of years.
And if it is true, then those close to him in this post did nothing to change the situation as well. They are just as much a part of the culture of silence than anyone else who may or may not have known.
There are a lot “if’s” in this story, but one thing that is for sure is that the culture of silence needs to end whether this is true or not. Now.
