It has been long awaited and speculated since Manny Diaz took the head coaching job for the Canes almost two weeks ago, but he has finally made an announcement on who his new offensive coordinator is going to be.
Say hello to Dan Enos.
This was not a name that was brought up at all during the search, as we kept hearing names like Major Applewhite and Larry Fedora. But Enos may have been the best-kept secret in college football. Why you ask? Because the Miami Hurricanes just pulled off hiring the offensive coordinator from Alabama. Yes, the Canes now have some Alabama blood in them.
And furthermore…guess who Enos coached at QB over the past few years…Yep, Jalen Hurts. This move definitely adds fuel to the fire that Miami is a serious contender to land the national champion QB for his senior season.
Diaz is reportedly “thrilled’ with the hire, as Enos also had strong offers from the likes of Georgia. We didn’t see this one coming, but it could end up being a masterstroke by Diaz in his first big hire.
