Maybe the Dolphins are actually onto something here?

He made his bones in the collegiate ranks with the University of Miami and now Frank Gore hopes to finish his career where it all started… in Miami.

The former 49ers and Colts running back signed with the Dolphins during the offseason. It isn’t often that a 35-year-old running back signs as a free agent anywhere. As far as Gore is concerned, head coach Adam Gase isn’t concerned at all. Regarding his age, Gase says “It’s irrelevant. He’s a different dude.”

Gase was an assistant with the 49ers back in 2008 when Gore was there. “It’s been 10 years since we were together,” Gase said. “I mean it seems like forever. The guy looks exactly the same.”

Can Gore defy “Father Time” at the age of 35 and still be a viable back? Well, he played all 16 games in the past 6 seasons and rushed for just under 1,000 yards in 2017.

So maybe the Dolphins are actually onto something here?
