After announcing that he would fight a Japanese kickboxing champion on New Years’ Eve, the undefeated Floyd Mayweather has pulled out. On Monday, Mayweather was part of a news conference announcing his fight with Tenshin Nasukawa. Today, he took to Instagram to say he never agreed to a formal bout.  In part, Mayweather wrote: “First and foremost, I want it to be clear that I, Floyd Mayweather, never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa.” Mayweather went on to say that his associate, Brent Johnson, put the fight together officials of the Rizin Fighting Federation. “Money” went on to say that the fight was only supposed to be a short exhibition and not a full-fledged bout. Did Mayweather get cold feet when he found out about how talented Nasukawa was? Was this all just a publicity stunt?
