Miami moves up in new AP poll

The new AP top 25 poll is out and Miami is finally gaining some respect.

After their dominating win vs Virginia Tech Saturday night, the pollsters saw fit to rank the now 8-0 Hurricanes at the number 7 spot after previously being ranked 10th. Undefeated Wisconsin is right in front of them in the 6th position after their win at Indiana.

The top 5 consists of Oklahoma, Clemson, Notre Dame, Georgia, and Alabama. Now, keep in mind that this is the AP poll, and the CFB playoff poll does not come out until tomorrow night. Georgia is currently ranked number 1 in that poll. And there is speculation that Miami may move up to number 6 ahead of Wisconsin.

Either way, the Canes will have their chance to claim their spot in the top four when they face off against #3 Notre Dame this Saturday night.
