New CFB playoff poll, where does Miami stand?

The college football committee came out with their second installment of the college football playoff poll last night.

Some questions were answered, like who was ranked where. Predictably though, those answers just created more questions. Especially with the ranking of the UNDEFEATED Miami Hurricanes and who is ranked ahead of them.

The top 4 remained unchanged from last week. So no big deal there, but again, there are two 1 loss teams ahead of the Hurricanes. This time it’s Oklahoma, who remained at number 5 and TCU, who moved from 8 into the 6th spot. This left the Canes sitting at number 7.

The question is, how and why could you place two teams in Oklahoma and TCU who have each lost to the same 3 loss Iowa St. team this season, ahead of an undefeated Hurricanes squad who just dominated Virginia Tech on national television. The pollsters still have their own questions about Miami. But this may be a blessing in disguise given their opponent this Saturday night. Maybe the continued disrespect from the committee will leave a chip on their shoulder and allow them to re focus on beating Notre Dame and making another statement to the country.

More questions. And more answers to come this Saturday night.
