NFL Divisional Playoffs Picks

With the playoffs approaching everyone can’t stop talking and making the picks not only for this week but also who they think will be in the Super Bowl.  The Jaguars look to take on The Steelers in Pittsburgh. The Jags offense has proven to be sub par at its best so once again they will need there defense to step up to the plate on the ground and air. The Steelers will have Antonio Brown back this week who might not be 100% but he will play. They also have JuJu and Levon Bell. They shouldn’t have any trouble on defense taking on Bortles so the game will be Jags defense versus the Steelers offense. In that battle Im going strong with the Jags and picking them to win this game.

Keep it in the AFC we have the Patriots versus The Titans. Everyone think this game is a give in and that the Patriots will win. Which for the most part is probably going to happen. Maritoa and the Titans won on what I would call pure luck last week especially in the air. Tennessee is going to have difficulty moving the ball through the air. Malcolm Butler, Devin McCourty and Stephon Gilmore are difference-makers for the New England secondary. The Titans need to focus on the run game with Derrick Henry which held up great last week. The only thing on the Patriots game plan is Brady, Brady, Brady. So as long as Brady is healthy and there defense can hold up then the Patriots will win and it my obvious pick for this game.

Over to the NFC we have The Falcons taking on The Eagles. The Eagles had a incredible season behind Carson Wentz but going into this game Nick Foles is taking center. Foles had a good game facing The Giants in the last week of the season but lets face the facts the Giants basically gave up in week 10. The Atlanta Defense will look to be more stingy then their previous opponents. Atlanta is on the roll after winning their wild card matchup last week and are going to look to keep that going. I have the feeling that they are going to have a tougher time facing Philly’s D then they did against the Rams.  It’s a defense that has plenty of talent in the front seven who can get to Ryan and win the game by disrupting the Falcons offense. So with that being said I’m going Philly over Atlanta.

Last but not least we have The Vikings versus the Saints. This is the game I’m most excited for because Im picking the Vikings to win the NFC!! There offense and defense are both hot. Keenum has been playing his best football of his career and the offense has really came into its own. Diggs and Thielen have been on fire this season. The only thing about the team i don’t like is the RB situation which has been sketchy since losing Dalvin Cook. The Vikings defense will play aggressive man-to-man coverage at times, which leads me to believe Drew Brees will find room to make some big plays downfield. The Vikings will also put a lot of guys at the line of scrimmage at times, which will open up opportunities for big Saints runs. Regardless, this is going to be one of the biggest tests the New Orleans offense has faced all year because there isn’t a real weakness on Minnesota’s defense. So like I said in the beginning I’m going with The Vikings!!!!!
