Possible Domestic Altercation Ends in Wrong-Way Accident that Left One Shot and One Dead

Authorities in Coconut Creek, Florida are currently investigating a wrong-way crash where a man was found dead and a woman was found with a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred around 8:45 am along Atlantic Boulevard Monday.

An off-duty officer was driving in the area and reported that they witnessed two vehicles driving the wrong way (East) on the Westbound lanes of Atlantic Boulevard.

As the officer reported the incident, one of the vehicles suddenly slammed into the median while the other vehicle crashed further east and ended on the side of the road. The occupant of that vehicle was said to have died at the scene.

The victim from the other vehicle, which authorities soon realized had been shot, was taken to Broward Health North with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, however, in the report, it was said that authorities believe it may have begun as a domestic altercation where both of the involved may have shot each other.
