Remembering the victims of 2-14-18

While it is a Happy Valentine’s Day for some, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge what many people in South Florida are thinking about today.

It was a year ago today that the tragedy happened at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland.
I remember being on the air at the time of the senseless shooting. Just a terrible time and everyone’s thoughts are with the students and families today.
So, before I do anything, I want to express my love and support for the entire community.
My goal today and really every day is to provide a distraction from the non-sports world out there. My goal is to entertain. That is what I plan on doing during Thursday’s show.
Look at what’s been going on lately with the Marlins, picking up young talent and even moving to No. 13 in the Baseball America prospect rankings.
It’s very early in the game and the plan, but if the Marlins continue to stack their minor league system with youth and promise, things could be looking a lot better in Little Havana in a few years from now.
