As the owner of the Patriots, Robert Kraft is no stranger to winning. And on Monday, he scored a victory of Super Bowl proportions when the judge in his prostitution case ruled a video that appears to implicate Kraft is inadmissible.
Saying police in Jupiter, Florida didn’t follow proper procedure when installing hidden cameras at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, Judge Leonard Hanser told prosecutors the video will not be allowed to be shown in Kraft’s upcoming trial.
“The fact that some totally innocent women and men had their entire lawful time spent in a massage room fully recorded and viewed intermittently by a detective monitor is unacceptable,” Hanser said in a written explanation of his decision. Prosecutors say they plan to appeal.
Kraft, 77, is among 25 men who have been charged with paying for sex at the spa. NFL officials have said they’re waiting for the outcome of Kraft’s upcoming trial before they decide whether to discipline him.
Is there a case without the video? Do you think Kraft is going to end up walking away from this unscathed?
