After NBA commish Adam Silver told TMZ last month that the league would start referring to team owners as “governors,” many expressed their thoughts on the decision.

According to the gossip network, some teams have already dropped the term, citing concerns that it’s racially charged.

But at least one ESPN host isn’t a fan, ridiculing the change on his show earlier this week.

“It’s my house! I own it! I don’t own you, but I own it! The idiocy! Politically correct world we’re living in,” says Stephen A. Smith, adding, “Oh my God! An owner says he owns his team, that’s offensive to people. Y’all are smoking crack!”

What do you think of the league’s decision? What about Smith’s statement?
