Twins Grand Slam Yankees

On a day everyone will remember in history, the Yankees will not forget the Grand Slam from Minnesota’s Joe Mauer that put the game out of reach in the 4th inning. Sonny Gray’s 3-inning outing did set the tone for the Yankees but the middle relief struggled against the Twins in 10-5 loss. The Yankees have 17 games to play with 9 games behind the Red Sox and a 2 game lead over the A’s for the top Wild-Card spot. The clubhouse seems to be frustrated and disappointed going into the last month of baseball.

One bright spot was Didi Gregorius, who hit a Grand Slam in the 6th inning to make it 10-5. That gave Didi 23 Home Runs, just 2 shy of his career high set last year. What about Stanton? Well, we will keep you posted once his power comes back.
