UM vs FIU is back on for 2018, plus other scheduled games

The Miami Hurricanes have announced that their game against FIU will take place this upcoming season. It was originally scheduled for 2018 before being moved to 2019, but now has been moved back to this year.

It will be the first time since 2006 that the two schools have faced off. They haven’t played since then due to the all out brawl that occurred during that game that resulted in 31 total suspensions from both teams. This game will also mark the return of Butch Davis to face off against the Canes, since he is the head coach for FIU.

The other non conference games that have been scheduled for the 2018 season include a road trip to Toledo on Sept 15th, a home game against Savannah State, and a nationally televised game on Sept. 2nd against LSU in Cowboys stadium.
