Week 7 of the high school football season is in the books.  As we recap this past week, we remind you that you can get real time scoring updates on our scoreboard every Friday Night right here on 640TheHurricane.com

WHO KNEW BEST: 

Kokell (Coach Kokell Show) stays in first with a 15-5 record this week. He is now 116-24 on the season. E.L. (Coach Kokell Show) went a solid 15-5 for the 2nd straight week and is still in second place with a record of 99-41.  Diener (Kevin’s Other Show) finished 14-6 bringing his season total to 87-53 on the season.

 

GAME BALLS:

Kokell: Park Vista celebrated their 100th win and were led to victory by their punter Alex Henningham, who also had an interception and a touchdown reception.

E.L.: Lavinski Williams had 228 yards rushing and four touchdowns for Pahokee in their win over Gardens.

BIGGEST SURPRISE:

Glades Day cruising past Jupiter Christian 43-7.

GAME OF THE NIGHT:

John I Leonard coach Keith Chattin picking up his first win as head man of the Lancers in style, defeating Spanish River 47-6.

 

GAME NOTES: Justin Wake went 17-24 234 through the air and 15 for 69 on the ground and three total touchdowns for Kings Academy. Teammate Presley Almond ran for 200 yards and 4 TD…..Forest Hill‘s Darius McClendon had 253 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 passing)….Ethan DiBerardino of Cardinal Newman had 3 touchdowns in their win over Suncoast… Jojo LaBovick had 200 yards and 3 TD (2 rushing, 1 receiving) in Benjamin’s 47-13 win…. Terrence Wilson had 2 receiving TD and 2 INT for Jensen Beach, while Danny Greenwood had 2 TD  1 pick for the Falcons…Olympic Heights QB Connor Hone threw for 205 and three TD in the air and 1 rushing. Hone connected to his favorite target Jack Coulson on six times for 120 yards and two of those TD… Michigan commit George Johnson had 4 touchdowns for Martin County… Kevon Purnell had two rushing touchdowns for Palm Beach Lakes… Gio Richardson had three touchdown passes for Dwyer….John I Leonard QB Jadiel Cruz threw for 145 and a TD and rushed for 90 yards and 4 touchdowns…Ryan Gross accounted for 3 TD (2 passing, 1 rushing) for South Fork in their win over Port St. Lucie...Atlantic RB Montahj Joseph had 112 yards rushing and 2 TD and Corey wyatt also had a pair of rushing TD for the Eagles.

 

NEXT LEVEL: A neck injury has caused Wellington alum and Canes WR Ahmmon Richards to end his playing career. Richards was one of the greatest WR to ever come through Palm Beach County… Village Academy alum Tre’Quan Smith caught his first career touchdown for the Saints. The ball from that catch will head to Canton as it was the play that Drew Brees set the all time passing yards mark….Lake Worth alum Jonathan Garvin picked up two more sacks in the Canes win over FSU. Pat Bethel (Vero Beach) also had a sack for Miami…Dwyer alum Daniel Parr threw for over 200 yards for Duquense.. Devin “Motor” Singletary (American Heritage) had 168 yards rushing and 2 TD for FAU while teammate Kerrith Whyte (Seminole Ridge) added two rushing TD of his own… Tevon Coney (Palm Beach Gardens) had 4 solo tackles and 5 assists for Notre Dame.. Lamar Jackson (Boynton Beach) had three carries and threw a pass for the Ravens…Johnnie Dixon (Dwyer) had 73 yards receiving and a TD for Ohio State.
