Yankees Bullpen Hold Off Mariners

J.A. Happ pitched a fantastic game and his fastball was on fire. The offense showed up when it mattered playing small ball without the big bats. What can we say about Gio Urshela. Are you completely sold on Gio?  The Yankees won the final contest of this four-game set against the Mariners 3-1. The bullpen came out strong with the 3-headed monster of Adam Ottavino, Tommy Kahnle, and Zack Britton all doing their jobs as they combined for 3 innings of no hit ball. The offense did just enough to make the pitching stand up including another big hit from Gio Urshela and another good offensive at bat from Cameron Maybin.

J.A. Happ started out sharp going 5 innings before giving up 1 Hit with 3 Walks and 7 K’s on 94 pitches…
