Yankees Fall Short In Loss

The Yankees offense seemed to have cooled down in the 3-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. New York did win the series and capped off a successful West Coast trip. CC Sabathia wasn’t bad, but has been having a problem going more than 5 innings is starting to show lately. Sabathia gave up 2 Runs on 7 Hits with 4 K’s in 5 innings. The weakest link for the Yankees is Dellin Betances not being consistent all year. The bases on balls continue to haunt him and could be his departure next year via trade. Aaron Boone asked him to protect a tied game but unable to escape the inning. Dellin Betances definitely earned the loss…

The Yankees lead for the top spot in the American League Wild Card has shrunk to 2 1/2 games.
